Mr. Maratbek Gabdullin
Rector Kazakh-British Technical University (Chairman of the Board)
Dear colleagues, guests and friends!

On behalf of Kazakh-British Technical University, I cordially welcome all participants and guests of the VII Youth Forum of the World Petroleum Council.

The forum is hosted by the National Youth Committee of the World Petroleum Council, a neutral, non-profit organization that brings together around 60 of the world's oil and gas countries to promote dialogue on the responsible production and use of the world's energy resources. The program of the Almaty Forum consists of three blocks: "Innovative Leadership", "Sustainable Technologies" and "Energy and Society".
The main events of the Forum will be held in Almaty, and it is a great honor for us to provide the site of Kazakh-British Technical University for participants and guests of the Forum.
We are confident that the upcoming event will strengthen international cooperation in the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of oil and gas. The World Petroleum Council Youth Forum, organized every three years, is the largest international platform for professional communication of young specialists in the field of oil and gas.
We expect the corresponding ministry leaders, heads of international organizations, young professionals, and recognized experts from around the world to attend the upcoming Forum and share ideas, improve their skills and knowledge, and discuss opportunities for young industry leaders.
In addition, on September 30, the Forum program will include a round-table discussion on the evolution of the technical education model, the transformation of universities, and the role of rectors in achieving successful integration of science, business, and industry in the context of modern industry requirements: "Technical University: the transition from science to industry".
I believe that such an experience will enable young people to engage their knowledge, skills, and self-confidence with their inherent maximalism to reliably provide our society with one of the most valuable resources that we have carefully inherited from previous generations - energy.
I am convinced that the VII Youth Forum of the World Petroleum Council will become a global platform for discussing ways to achieve the energy transition, providing a unique opportunity for Kazakhstani young professionals to express their opinion on topical issues and take part in discussions on the development of the industry.
